Dress Up & Dance

Dress Up & Dance is a costume and dancewear shop in St Albans. We are the only traditional fancy dress and dancewear shop for many miles, a treasure trove of beautiful costumes for hire as well as a wide range of adults’ and children’s fancy dress clothing and accessories for sale. The dance and gymnastics range covers most regulation dancewear and accessories, tap, ballet, character and jazz shoes, as well as many styles of gymnastics leotards, shorts and leggings. We have tights and hair accessories too. We sell coloured contact lenses, theatrical and prosthetic make up and a huge range of wigs, beards and moustaches. We stock both character masks and masquerade masks, and fancy dress hats and animal heads and faces. We have bucket hats, visors, funky glasses, bumbags and garlands. In fact, we have such a huge range of goodies, it would be impossible to list them all! We are a friendly bunch and we pride ourselves on helping each customer find something fabulous to suit his or her requirements, be it a full Mad Hatter costume or a stylish string of 20s pearls… To us, dressing up should be fun for everyone – it doesn’t mean having to look silly (unless you want to!) or feel self-conscious. You can look stylish and feel fabulous!

We sponsored a topper for the first time last year and we loved it. The topper is located within our local community, which is so important to us, and the toppers bring such pleasure to local people. The chosen charities are amazing and we are very keen to lend our support to those charities.
